Types of Stock Transfers

A) Plant to Plant Stock Transfer (Movement Type: 301)

Steps

  1. T-code: MB1B or MIGO (preferred)
  2. Select “Transfer Posting” → “Other”
  3. Enter:
    • Movement type = 301
    • Material number
    • Quantity to be transferred
    • Source plant and storage location
    • Destination plant and storage location
  4. Click “Check”“Post”

B) Storage Location to Storage Location Transfer (Movement Type: 311)

Steps:

  1. T-code: MIGO
  2. Select “Transfer Posting” → “Other”
  3. Enter:
    • Movement type = 311
    • Material number
    • Quantity to be transferred
    • Source and destination storage locations
  4. Click “Check”“Post”

C) Company Code to Company Code Transfer (Movement Type: 303/305)

  • 303 – Transfer to receiving plant (in transit).
  • 305 – Transfer to receiving plant (receipt).
